Micro teaching
Micro-teaching is a training setting for the student teacher where complexities of the normal classroom teaching the reduced. The complex teaching skill is analyzed into simpler component teaching skills which are practiced one at a time. To practice a particular skill, 5-10 minutes micro lesson using a single concept is planned. The lesson is then taught to a micro class comprising of 5 - 10 pupils. In this way complexities of the normal class teaching are simplified in microteaching by :
- Practice one component skill at a time.
- Limiting the content to a single concept
- Reducing the class size to 5-10 pupils.
- Reducing the duration of the lesson to 5 - 10 minutes.
